About

I grew up in Malaysia, went to high school in Singapore and then on to university in New Zealand. I lived in Zurich, Switzerland, for 8 years. I’ve now returned to my hometown, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which I intend to rediscover photographically.
In the last few years I’ve rediscovered photography and through a combination of self-education and participating in formal workshops have progressed from vacation snaps to taking a more thoughtful approach.
My main interest is in discovering and documenting the world, experiencing the magic and wonder of different cultures and lands – from the exoticism and contradictions of Cuba, to the passion of Sicilian Easter rituals, as well as gaining new insight into the places I grew up in.
I am a member of LUMEN, an independent photographer’s cooperative. I am an editor of Swiss Peeks, a series of Swiss photography books and co-moderator of DigiFotoCH, an online community for English-speaking photographers based in Switzerland.
